Architecture study and system design of Silicon Photonics Integrated Circuits (PICs) for optical transceivers of next generation ultra-high-speed serial links.
Modeling, design, layout and verification of different Silicon Photonics components, circuits and subsystems.
Work closely with Analog Mixed Signal IC design teams building state of the art SerDes systems to optimize the Electro-Optical interfaces of the designed PICs.
Tape-out layout files to fabrication partners and to successfully manufacture the designed PICs.
Test, debug and characterize Silicon Photonics components, systems and modules versus target specifications.
Job Requirements
BSc., MSc., or PhD in Electronics and Communication Engineering or a relevant discipline with focus on Silicon Photonics or Integrated Optics.
3 to 10+ years of similar industrial experience.
Solid background in Physics, Electromagnetics and Integrated Optics.
Hands on experience in designing active and passive Silicon photonics components, systems and modules.
Solid understanding of Silicon Photonics fabrication, packaging and testing technologies.
Strong computational and mathematical modeling skills using Matlab or Python.
Familiar with optical communication links, systems and algorithms.
Familiar with Photonics design and simulations tools e.g. Ansys Lumerical, ...etc.
