C.K. Ken Yang is a professor and Chairman of electrical engineering at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). He has over 30 years of consulting, design, and research experience with various companies in the electronics industry. In 2010, he co-founded and held the position of vice president of product engineering at Pluribus Networks, Inc. an innovator in software and hardware network virtualization platforms for the cloud.
He received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in electrical engineering in 1992 and his Ph.D. in 1998 from Stanford University under the supervision of Professor Mark Horowitz. Since then, he has been a professor at UCLA with over 100 journal and conference publications. He is an IEEE Fellow and was awarded the Northrop Grumman Excellence in Teaching Award, and IBM Faculty Development Fellow Award.
